Professional resume writer Martin Buckland is one of only four people in the world, and the only one in Canada, to be designated a Master Resume Writer by the Internet-based training and networking association the Career Masters Institute.
Martin recently became the fourth person in the world, and the only person in Canada, to earn the distinguished Master Resume Writer designation.
The designation, awarded by the Career Masters Institute, honors individuals who have reached the top tier of the resume writing industry by demonstrating their expertise in resume writing, resume strategy development and execution, and creative resume design and production.
The Career Masters Institute is an Internet based networking and training association for career management professionals.
"I'm greatly honored to achieve the Master Resume Writer designation and I am delighted that my resumes are a successful tool in my client's job search," Buckland said.
This achievement is just one of many Martin can now add to his own resume. He is also a certified professional resume writer, job and career transition coach, certified employment interview professional and certified job search trainer.
Martin is the principal of Elite Resumes, based in Oakville, Ont., (www.aneliteresume.com) and enjoys a reputation as a leading authority on career management for both local and international clients.
Some of his most interesting clients have included the brother of the Sultan of Oman, deputy provincial and federal government ministers, the deputy chair of Canada's largest financial institution and a former nun who, after 29 years, decided to leave the ministry and is now a successful businesswoman.
Martin's resumes and cover letters have appeared in eight books, including Cover Letter Magic, Resumes For $100,000 Careers, Resumes For Manufacturing Careers, Resumes For People Returning To Work, and Resumes and CVs for International Jobs.
"I have learned a great deal about job hunting over the course of my career. I understand the five fundamentals of writing a resume, how to read between the lines of a job posting and what to say and what not to say in an interview," Buckland says. "I love my job and that is my inspiration. It gives me great satisfaction to use all that I have learned to help people look for the job of their dreams."
